Baa-ble Hat – First Time Color Work

February 23, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Saturday Feb 23 from 10:00 to 12:00
Ah, the famous wee sheep-y hat. There are over 9,000 projects loaded to Ravelry for this wonderful design (and counting!) I have knit this hat numerous times and it’s still my favorite for introducing knitters to color work. Download the pattern from Ravelry or come by the shop to purchase a copy (currently only ~$3.50 USD)
Knit either the adult or child size. Pre-work is required before the class to complete the brim so that class instruction may begin with the color work.
Skills required : knitting in the round, ribbing, increases, decreases
Skills taught: two color stranded knitting, catching floats, color dominance theory
Materials: 3 colors of worsted weight yarn (Carlton Merino Supreme or similar)
Copy of pattern, 16” circulars in US6 &7, or US7 &8
Class Fee: – $25 for 2 hr class
